WebRatio Platform 8.10.12 is Available: Updates and Security

WebRatio Platform is not just a tool that frees developers from updating business applications to maintain compliance with the requirements of technology players. If the updates are useful for improving security, developers can save all the time dedicated to continuous analysis, research, and resolution of issues related to this topic.

As in the case of the latest release, which includes updating Firebase libraries, resolving the deprecation of some APIs, and migrating to the HTTP v1 API for sending notifications. As stated by Google [1] In addition to ongoing support and new features, the HTTP v1 API offers these advantages over legacy APIs: greater security through access tokens. The HTTP v1 API uses short-lived access tokens according to the OAuth2 security model. When an access token becomes public, it can only be used maliciously for about an hour before it expires. Refresh tokens are not transmitted as frequently as the security keys used in the legacy API, so they are much less likely to be acquired.”

The latest version of WebRatio Platform also includes an update to the mobile emulator, which addresses the removal of WebSQL by major browsers.

The advantages of Low-Code development are thus demonstrated from the perspective of accelerating application production and of maintaining quality in terms of security and compliance with the latest requirements.
