Disugual is one of the major Italian pet food production and distribution companies, with over 1500 stores. Its mission is to offer high-quality products at affordable prices, consistent with the scrupulous application of ethical principles of nature and living sustainability.
With its goal of expansion, internationalization and performance improvement, the italian company has requested the consultancy of our business partner Eupragma to start an organizational, managerial and infrastructural renovation, aimed at making processes easier and more effective. One of the undertaken development projects is “Web Order” an Extended ERP system with web and mobile applications that extends information processes outside the company to reach all partners (suppliers, agents and distributors, shops, end customers etc.), with a view to service progression and scalability.
The Extended ERP solution has the main objective of streamlining the information procedures of the company. It was essential, therefore, to reshape the digital processes of order creation, management and validation, integrating the internal ERP system and customizing user experience, which is a fundamental factor in simplifying interaction with the application. The project focused on the creation of intuitive and self-explanatory processes and interactions and on making the activities as fast as possible through a digital solution, with the perspective of increasing volumes.
The Eupragma project team, in agreement with the entrepreneur Piergiulio Bassi and his staff, was looking for all of these considerations and wanted the solution to be online as soon as possible to accelerate the transformation. So they asked for our support, and our only choice was to test our new WebRatio Platform 9, which includes all the solutions needed for a single development platform.
Over two weeks, during the recent lockdown period, we developed and made the Web Order system available online, starting from an initial brief with the necessary specifications, working in an Agile way with two-day sprints and involving sales area and field agents, who were able to give their feedback to let us optimize the user experience for the needs of people who use the application every day.
The goal of development speed and quality achieved with our latest low-code platform has shown it is possible to get results not just financially but also in solidity and user experience, for people who use the Extended ERP system and for the whole company.
Indeed, Eupragma declares that having evaluated other technologies, it estimates a performance gap of approximately two months and 20% higher costs in comparison to developing with WebRatio Platform.
The extension of the information system has actually reduced the workload of administrative offices; at the same time, the processes of reengineering and digitalization have led to a drastic reduction in time expended and substantial elimination of errors and manual intervention needs. If we add to these two advantages the user experience optimization, which makes the application use extremely simple and fast, the total savings of time and resources can be quantified at over 30%.
