to create the first two mobile Apps (iOS and Android)
to customize the two mobile Apps
One of the major trends of the technological revolution brought about by Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is servitization: the shift from selling a product to delivering smart services. This innovation enables the creation of new sources of revenue. A company supplying electronic boards seized the opportunity to add value to its products, allowing boiler manufacturers to offer services to their customers in a white-label mode.
The need for an end-to-end web and mobile solution, to also reach the final customers, led to the partnership between Servitly and WebRatio. The No-Code approach of Servitly’s DPS (Digital Product-Service) system was extended and integrated with the Low-Code technology of the WebRatio Platform, resulting in a smart service that includes configuration, management, and control dashboards—also accessible via iOS and Android mobile apps.
The company providing electronic boards enabled five national boiler manufacturers to add smart services to their offering. Thanks to the combination of No-Code and Low-Code, the company was able to start delivering services within just a few weeks. With the integration ease of the WebRatio Platform, the first two mobile apps were developed in 12 weeks and can be customized in 1 week, with the quality of Open and Standard technologies.
The enabling technologies that make up this "smart service supply chain" include the electronic boards and thermostats offered by the company, which are connected via Wi-Fi or 4G and send boiler data to the cloud, where they are managed by the DPS (Digital Product Service) system, a digital platform to enable the delivery of smart services (such as remote assistance and predictive maintenance). These services are extended and mobile-integrated through apps developed using the WebRatio Platform.
